200 Watt Charging From Xiaomi To Enter Mass Production: Reports from reliable sources like Weibo, GSM Arena and My Drivers have claimed that the 200 Watt Hyper Charge Technology that Xiaomi has proudly developed and showcased will go into mass production next year, which means it will be available for the public, the masses, as early as Q3 2022. It is said to go into mass production in June 2022.
The reports do not specify an exact source, but claim the sources are internal and remain anonymous (possibly Chinese Bloggers).
Xiaomi has previously boasted a lot about this technology and it was really hyped up. They said it would charge a smartphone one hundred percent- completely- in just 8 minutes with wired charging and 15 minutes with wireless charging. These are insane amounts of charging speeds. They quoted “Too good to be true? Check out the timer yourself!” in their famous Tweet. They showcased a live demo with a timer.
200 Watt Charging: How Revolutionary Is It & When Will It Reach The Masses?
On a customized version of the Mi 11 Pro (China Only), they showcased the demo of 200W Wired and 120W Wireless charging. And the figures hold true. 8 Minutes and 15 Minutes respectively.
The device did not having a really huge battery size by 2021 Standards, but it was pretty respectable at 4000 MAH. It was able to charge up the 4000 MAH Battery in such a short amount of time, it is insane and we cannot wait to see how they innovate next.
After 800 Charge Cycles with 200W Charging, Xiaomi later said that the battery health of the phone would drop down only by 20 Percent, which is miles better than the figures Apple quoted, in which they said 500 Charge Cycles with 5W, 2W, 10W or 18W will simply degrade the battery health indicator to 80%.
There were some more reports from pretty reliable sources that this 200W & 120W Revolutionary Charging Technology will Debut next year on Xiaomi’s top end flagship model, the Mi 12 Ultra (successor to the Mi 11 Ultra).
When Xiaomi first did a demo of this technology, they did not specify if it was going to enter mass production or if it will reach mainstream products or if it will reach consumers any time soon. But here we are. With reports that these kind of charging speeds will be commercially available on a smartphone for the masses. At the moment, most devices can only charge fully in about 30 Minutes. But eight? Now that is pretty fast.
Anyway, let us know what you think of the 200W Wired & 120W Wireless Charging. That is all we have for now. Do you think it will ship with the Mi 12 Ultra? Do drop a comment down below.
