Is the Mi Watch Revolve Active a considerable upgrade over last year’s model?

Alongside the Mi 11 Lite, Xiaomi also announced a smartwatch and a fitness tracker, the Mi Watch Revolve Active. Is it a worthy successor to the original Mi Watch Revolve? Is it practically priced? Read on to find out more...........

At the event yesterday, the Mi Watch Revolve Active, the successor to the Mi Watch Revolve that was launched last year, was announced yesterday at a starting price of 9,999 Rupees. Its key features are that it comes with a heart rate monitor and active Oxygen Saturation Levels tracking. It also keeps track of your sleep quality and schedule and it is overall a well-rounded fitness tracker.

It comes with 17 professional sports modes and around 100 extended sports modes.

In the rest of the specifications though, it resembles the original Mi Watch Revolve Quite a bit.

With a 454*454 AMOLED Display, 420 MAH 2 Week Battery Life, Gyroscope and a 1.39 Inch Display. It also comes with in built 12nm GPS.

The Watch has Alexa built-in and supports the ability to control music, reject calls from the phone and also get message, email notifications from your phone.  The Watch also comes with options for six straps.

But is it practically priced at 9,999?

Yes, it is kind of worth it, but there is an early bird offer that does reduce the price down to 8,999 temporarily and then an additional 750 Rupees off with a HDFC Card. But if they priced it at 8,999 with an early bird offer of 7,999, it would have sold a lot more units because that price is seriously bang for the buck.

With the app, you can customize the screen and put one of 110 Watch Faces. The screen also comes with Gorilla Glass protection and Amazon Alexa compatibility built in.

These are the key sensors this smartwatch comes with:

  1. Energy Monitor
  2. Heart Rate Monitor
  3. Resting heart rate monitor
  4. 12nm Built-in GPS
  5. Sleep Tracker
  6. Breathing Tracker
  7. Stress Tracker

The highlight change from last year is Oxygen Saturation level tracking, which i very important, especially this year, due to the ongoing threat of COVID-19 in India.

That is a pretty significant upgrade, since they did not raise the cost from last year.

We already extensively covered the Mi 11 Lite, a true mid range killer, which was launched alongside this watch, in this article below:

With that being said, let us know what you think about the Mi Watch Revolve and it’s pricing. We definitely think it is value for money for that 8,999 price tag (early bird offer) and it is a worthy successor to the Mi Watch Revolve released last year.
