There were some fresh leaks about the Mi 11 Lite, which stated that there would be no 5G Variant of this smartphone in India. There will be a Mi 11 Lite 4G Variant only. This smartphone is already on sale in European markets. It will come to India on 22nd June 2022, in a Xiaomi event. It is said to come in three colours: Blue, Black and Light Pink.
It is said to arrive with a lot of interesting features like a 90 HZ 1080p AMOLED Display that is 800 Nits in brightness and has a 402 pixel density and a punch hole design, 33 W Fast charging and a 64 MP Quad Camera Setup. It also comes with a 240 HZ Touch Sampling Rate and HDR 10 Support, making it one of the best displays in the 20 to 25K price segment.
It will ship with Android 11 (MIUI 12.5) along with a 4250mAh Battery.
Info about RAM is not yet known, while it is said to come with the Snapdragon 732G SOC. It will come with either 64 or 128 GB Of Storage. The camera is a 64 MP Main, 8 MP Ultra wide and a 5 MP Tele Macro lens, and a 16 MP Front Facing Camera.
Since Xiaomi has decided to omit 5G on this phone, they need to compensate for that with aggressive pricing, mostly around the Mi 10i. It is also said to be the thinnest smartphone in 2021 so far.
So now comes the big question. Price. How much is practical for a smartphone like this?
So, we have the 6GB RAM and 64 GB Storage model as the base variant, which will usually launch weeks after the second variant, which is a 6 GB RAM and 128 GB Variant.
The base variant (6+64) will most likely be priced at 19,999 rupees.
The middle variant (6+128) will be priced 20,999 rupees, I think this is the most practical one, with 128 GB of storage.
The last variant (8+128) will be most likely priced 22,999 but I do not know if users can really feel too much difference in regular usage between 6 and 8 Gigabytes of RAM.
This is how we expect this smartphone to be priced, because it is directly competing with Xiaomi’s own Redmi Note 10 Pro and Pro Max, OnePlus Nord CE 5G, Realme 8 Pro and Realme 8 5G, IQOO Z3, Vivo Y20, Oppo F19 Pro, Moto G40 & 60, Galaxy M42, Mi 10i, Moto G 5G, Poco X3 Pro and several other really aggressively priced smartphones. So if it does not have a distinct feature, it will be outclassed by a slew of phones from other brands including its own, so they need to compensate for that with very aggressive pricing.
We can tell Xiaomi is not really going very crazy with the specifications here, they are targeting users who want a well rounded device that cuts corners in the right places, but it will be practical only if it is priced as we discussed above. We are excited to cover all the launches that will take place on 22nd June.
