Televisions with built-in cameras are not very common. They are not mainstream for the most part.
The built-in camera gives you the ability to directly place video calls via TVs. You get additional extra features like gesture control, face recognition, smart home controls, more virtual assistant options, etc. Samsung and Huawei have offered TVs with inbuilt cameras before but none of them have launched a model with two cameras. T
hat will change when Xiaomi announces its all new, feature packed, modern smart TV, the Mi TV 6.
Giz China, Weibo and other reliable Chinese microblogging sites and reliable leaks sites have confirmed a dual 48MP Camera setup. It is said to have 4.2.2 (Main+Surround Sound+Bass) Spatial Audio Dolby Audio 100W Speakers, the new Wi-Fi 6 Support, two 2.1 HDMI Ports, AMD Freesync, Designed for X Box certification and also Gigabit Etherent.
It is said to use the new Quantum Dot OLED Technology with Dolby Vision IQ and HDR, it also can automatically adjust ambient light.
It is right now unspecified if this will be a 1080P TV or a 4K one.
It is currently unclear if this is China Only or if it will launch globally. There is no confirmation if it will launch in India as well. If XIaomi does this 48MP Dual Camera TV and launches it globally, mainstream TVs might adapt this feature soon.
For now, detachable Webcams for TVs are offered from both OnePlus and Xiaomi, priced at 2499 and 1999 respectively.
Also, this TV is a flagship high specced smart system with dual 48MP Cameras, so it will definitely not be affordable at all, you will have to pay quite a lot, possibly over a Lakh and a half.
Right now there is not much info about the UI too, if it runs on a separate UI than the mainstream Televisions. Also, you should be able to control the TV With your Xiaomi smartphone with more built in functionality like broadcasting, etc.
