Redmi Note 9 Pro Max grabs MIUI 12.0.4.0 Update in India

Xiaomi is rolling out a new OTA software update to their Redmi Note 9 Pro Max smartphone in India. The latest updates adds May security patch to the device.

Xiaomi has launched their Redmi Note 9 Pro Max back in 2020. The smartphone offers pretty interesting specifications like Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G chipset, 64-megapixels quad rear camera, 16-megapixels front facing camera, 5000mAh battery with 33W fast charger and lot more. The company has now started rolling out a new MIUI 12.0.4.0 update to the device in India.

The latest update brings the May 2021 security patch to the device and some changes in Xiaomi cloud. However, this is not a MIUI 12.5 or Android 11 update. It’s based on MIUI 12 and Android 10. Let’s take a look on changelog of the update.

Kindly note that the update is currently rolling out in stages to ensure bug free experience. The broader rollout will happen in coming days. Additionally, you can check for the update manually by going into Setting >> About Phone >> Tap on MIUI logo >> Check for updates.
